Venue Description
Bluewater Grill is without a doubt one of Perth’s most epic riverside venues. Set in the Heathcote Reserve on the pristine Applecross foreshore, Bluewater Grill is a heritage-listed building within beautifully manicured grounds. It boasts a tranquil ambience and a truly unique vantage point of Perth city, the South Perth Yacht Club & the Swan River.
Bluewater offers a myriad of opportunities for stunning events in various rooms. Our experienced Coordinators and fantastic functions team offer a hassle-free experience for your event, and can design a food and beverage package to meet your specific requirements.
Point Heathcote was one of the landing and camp sites of Captain James Stirling during his exploration of the Swan River in 1827. It was named after one of Stirling's crew members, Midshipman G. C. Heathcote, said to have been the first European to set foot on the site.
Bluewater is open for lunch and dinner every day, with a sensational buffet breakfast spread on Saturday, Sunday and Public Holidays. Bluewater’s Function Centre, Private Wine Room and Private Dining Room are available for breakfast, lunch and dinner seven days a week.
Bluewater Grill is a serious grill-come-brasserie, featuring an informal fine-dining restaurant that showcases the very best of West Australian produce and wines. Upon entering, the rich timber heritage furnishings combine with the contemporary, bright aspects to create a warm, inviting and elegant environment. Dine inside, or outside in the relaxed alfresco setting with its truly unparalleled views of the river and city.
Head chef Brad Leahy has concentrated on fresh, local food that doesn’t compete with the view, and simple yet elegant food which lets the produce ‘speak for itself’. The menu offers a fine selection of WA produce that is driven in daily to ensure freshness and quality. Only the best ingredients are used in every one of Brad’s dishes.
Bluewater Grill Function Room
This space (Capacity: 100 seated) features bay windows that open up and spill out onto the grass, heritage brick and timber furnishings, with a rustic yet contemporary feel.
Bluewater’s beautiful panoramic Perth city views and vast lawns provide the perfect setting for a truly memorable event.
Private Wine Room
Enjoy your next corporate or family function in the Bluewater Private Wine Room. This exclusive room boasts its own balcony overlooking the gardens and river with views stretching out towards the city.
This rustic yet quaint room has kept its historic charm with the wooden floorboards, fireplace and French doors yet feels at the same time very modern, with contemporary wine racks and furnishings.
The room seats 22 guests around a boardroom-style table or 40 people around 4 tables of 10. We can accommodate 30 guests for theatre-style seating or up to 60 for a cocktail-style function.
Private Dining Room
For smaller events, the Bluewater Private Dining Room is the perfect venue, featuring its own small terrace area, and superb views through its timber windows.
Please note that this room is not suitable for seminars and meetings, due to its location and privacy, though it is perfect for relaxed, small social events. The room can seat up to 16 guests around a boardroom-style table, or up to 40 guests for a cocktail-style function (utilising the terrace area, if it is available).
