Thank you for considering Universal Bar for your function.  It is our pleasure to assist you.

Below is a list of information to assist you in the planning of your special occasion.  If you have any special requests, please do not hesitate to ask as we can tailor our packages to suit any need.

 

e x c l u s i v e   a r e a s

Universal Bar offers three exclusive areas for private functions;

Roof Top Terrace Bar (First floor exclusive use)	50-130	- Private area - No Room Hire fee, unless less than 50 guests - $500 deposit, no minimum spend required - Available until 11pm, later by arrangement
Back Lounge Bar	30-90	- $250 Deposit - Non-Private area - No Room Hire fee - Area roped off for your use until 10 pm
Front Bar	15-30	- $250 Deposit - Non-Private area - No Room Hire fee - Area roped off for your use until 9 pm
Downstairs Exclusive	230 Private Area	- No Room Hire Fee - Minimum spend negotiable depending on requirements and time needed.
Venue Exclusive (Both Floors)	328 Private Area	- No Room Hire Fee - Minimum spend negotiable depending on  requirements and time needed.
Deck Bar	36	- available for exclusive hire until 11pm - $500 minimum spend - $500 deposit is required to secure the space

Universal Bar is open to the public from 5pm Wednesday-Sunday, however exclusive hire is available from 6am on any day of the week.

Please note that Function Bookings are not confirmed until a deposit has been received by the venue.

Any cancellations or date changes must occur before 8 weeks from booked date otherwise deposit is non-refundable.

Universal Bar offer three drinks packages;

OPTION ONE - PAY AS YOU GO

Your guests pay for their own drinks.

OPTION TWO - BAR TAB

If you would like to provide a bar tab for your guests, you can select which drinks you would like available on the bar tab and we will print customised menus for this.

OPTION THREE - PER HEAD DRINKS PACKAGE*

This option is available to corporate clients only;

Option 3 must be ancillary to catering.

Our venue provide a per head drinks package that includes the following:

House Wines (Semillon Sauvignon Blanc, Cabernet Merlot, and Bubbles)

All Tap Beer / Cider

Soft Drink and Juice


The cost per head is:

1 hour: $29
2 hours: $49
3 hours: $62
4 hours: $74

To include standard spirits in your drinks package, the cost is $5 per head per hour.

*When choosing this option, please note that all guests must be on the same package.

Pre-payment is required. With regard to responsible service of alcohol and wastage, it is advised that guests may only order for themselves and only one drink at a time.

c a t e r i n g

Universal Bar chefs prepare all function catering requirements from our very own kitchen, ensuring oven fresh food at all times. Our gourmet platter menu is available at the end of this pack. Please note, the chef requires two weeks notice on all catering requirements.

The venue can also accommodate guests supplying their own food, or an external caterer. Guests are free to bring along a cake or cupcakes etc.

Universal Bar offers an outstanding level of live entertainment for you and your guests to enjoy, with no cover charge at any time. You can visit www.universalbar.com.au/live-music/ for details on upcoming acts.

 

p r e s e n t a t i o n   f a c i l i t i e s

If you would like to play a presentation via a laptop, this can be linked to our plasma screen and has sound capabilities. This service is available in our Terrace Bar only.

For slideshows and movies with no sound, we can accommodate this in both Back Lounge Bar and Terrace Bar.

We also have a radio microphone facility in our Terrace Bar area. Chairs can also be set up for sit down presentations in theatre style for a maximum of 80 guests (additional costs may apply depending on numbers), and additional presentation equipment such as lecterns can be hired for you.

The Terrace Bar also has an independent PA system which can be utilised to provide your own music if you wish in the form of an iPod, DJ or small acoustic band.

Your event will be attended by one of our function co-ordinators. They will show you to your area and most importantly, they will ensure your function runs in a professional manner, and your catering is served to your requirements.

m i n o r s   a t t e n d i n g

Due to the fact that Universal Bar is a licensed premises the following conditions apply to any minor wishing to attend functions here at the venue:

1. All minors must be accompanied by a parent at all times
2. Minors must have some sort of identification to match the parent/s photo ID
   
3. All minors must vacate the premises by no later than 10pm
4. Minors must wear an ID wristband provided by us for the entire duration they are in attendance
