The UWA Tavern, affectionately known as ‘The Tav’, was established in 1975. Located on the grounds of the University of Western Australia, just a stones throw from the scenic Matilda Bay. This historic building offers a versatile space ideal for a range of events. Join us as we celebrate our rich legacy, offering a vibrant atmosphere for connection and community.

“Big cheer for Connie, Hayden and the team at UWA Tavern for providing a brilliant venue for Lachie’s 21 st party last night!
Nothing was too much to ask on the night from Connie and her bar staff where the food was plentiful and the drinks served swiftly. All the guests loved the venue and all of us being able to sit together for the BBQ tea was a highlight for many.
Connie worked tirelessly throughout the night communicating with me regarding drinks and food which left me to just enjoy the night.
